There are three natural Procera AVH ingredients that are designed to work together to enhance brain function. All three of the active main ingredients are at or above the proven therapeutic dosage. This is the amount of the ingredient that must be present in the supplement when it is taken as directed in order to deliver the benefit that is claimed.
This is very important. Did you know that supplements often contain only a token amount of an ingredient just so the manufacturer can put it on the label? Ingredients in amounts below therapeutic levels will provide very limited or no benefits.
Natural ingredients in therapeutically effective levels is just one of the reasons we are confident that Procera AVH is a valuable aid to brain function. See our Procera AVH review to learn some more reasons why we like this brain supplement.
These are the three active ingredients in Procera AVH:
Vinpocetine
First is an extract of vinca minor, or periwinkle, called Vinpocetine (VIN). It has been shown to increase the flow of nutrients, oxygen, and blood sugar to the brain. VIN is also a potent antioxidant and a calcium regulator. Calcium overload is thought to be a major cause of age-related brain dysfunction.
Huperzine A
Second is a substance extracted from Chinese Club Moss (huperia serrata) known as Huperzine A (HUP). HUP protects brain cells from free radicals and has been clinically proven to improve memory. It maintains the brain’s ability to communicate thoughts and memories.
Acetyl-l-Carnitine
Third is acetyl-l-carnitine (ALC), a chemical found in fish and red meat. You would have to eat 50 pounds of meat or fish a day to get enough of it to help your brain function! ALC helps your brain in many ways. It is a powerful antioxidant that protects brain cells. Dozens of clinical studies have shown it to improve mental clarity, focus, mood and memory. It also has been shown to boost the brain’s processing speed and cognitive function. It is believed that ALC can also slow brain aging.
Besides delivering these individual benefits, these ingredients are thought to work synergistically to provide even greater benefits. The mechanisms by which these Procera AVH ingredients work are actually much more complicated than this, working on a cellular level. Inactive Ingredients in Procera
One of the most common questions we’re asked is not about the active ingredients in the proprietary blend. These are talked about extensively here and on the official website. Questions we receive are about the “other” ingredients. Nowhere on the Procera AVH site are all the inactive ingredients listed. So we’re pleased that we can publish the label. The small print is hard to read, so we’ve also listed these ingredients below, as well.
Other Ingredients:
- calcium carbonate
- vegetable stearic acid
- croscarmelose sodium
- microcrystalline cellulose
- shellac
- silicon dioxide
- vegetable magnesium stearate
Coating ingredients:
- ethylcellulose
- ammonium hydroxide
- medium chain triglycerides
- oleic acid
- sodium alginate
- natural vanilla extract
Inactive ingredients are very common in supplements and medicines. They are used to bind and coat the active ingredients so that the pill will hold together, stay fresh, and be easy to swallow.

Hi Val, You are correct! Diovan is a vasodilator used to treat hypertension and not a blood thinner. I appreciate your taking the time to point that out!
That doesn’t change my advise to M.E. considering she is taking several meds.
Hi Diane,
I’m afraid diovan is not a blood thinner it’s an anti hypertensive you may wish to fix that post.
Hi M.E., I think you should talk to your doctor about trying Procera. Diovan is a blood thinner and Procera’s manufacturer recommends you talk to your doctor if you are on blood thinners. The apo-amitriptyline also concerns me because it can be used for bi-polar and again, Procera recommends talking to your doctor if you take bi-polar medication. Even if that is not why you are using it (that is only one of many uses), you should run this by your doctor.
All this doesn’t mean you won’t be able to take Procera, it just means that you need your doctor’s approval. I suggest you print out the copy of the label in this post and show it to him. I hope this was helpful and that it works out for you!
I take Prescription Meds : Diovan, Synthroid, Apo-Amitriptyline & Premarin. Should any of these or any other medications NOT to be taken with Procera AVH.
Thank You.
Hi Jojn, If you read the ingredients label, you will see there is no sodium in this product. The only ingredient that could possibly contain any sodium would be the sodium alginate (seaweed derivative) used in the coating but that would be negligable (below 5 mg.) or it would mentioned on the label. No involvement with China – the product is manufactured in California.
How much sodium is in each tablet. Does China have anything to do with anything concerning this product? If they do what is the extent of their involvement?
Hi Zeke, Procera AVH is shipped from Chino, CA. I’ve not heard that the plant is open for visitation. Just in case this was a trick question, only two of the ingredients are grown, since the third comes from fish.
Deane,
As a buyer of procera, can we visit the site where these three ingredients are grown and bottled for distribution? where is the manufacturer plant located?
thanks
Hi Liz, The label states there is a total of 1515 mg. for the three active ingredients combined. But the manufacturer is not revealing the exact amount of each as it is their “proprietary blend” – I’ve asked. Sorry!
I would like to know the amount of the various ingredients in this product. It looks like there is a total of 3 ingredients listed however there is a different product that lists ingredients separately and I am trying to compare as your product appears to be very effective. Can I get the amount of vinpocetine and Huperzine and acetyl L Carnitine.
Thank you
Liz
